There are times when it can seem very hard to cope on your own with life’s difficulties. It is also difficult to be objective about matters where one has personal involvement. We often say “I can’t see the wood for the trees”.

In a busy world it can be difficult to find people with the time, willingness and objectivity to lend a sympathetic ear.

A trained therapist or counsellor can offer you much more. It is not so much a question of needing psychotherapy but of using the therapist as an independent confidante: someone who will help you clarify your view of your situation and who is professionally trained to provide the proper assistance.
